Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Asniher website, dashboard, APIs, status pages and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Asniher monitors websites, APIs, SSL certificates and scheduled jobs that you configure, sends alerts when they fail, and publishes public status pages. Checks run from infrastructure hosted in the EU (Germany), with optional confirmation from probes in other regions.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address or sign in with GitHub, and keep access to that identity secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by teammates you invite.
  • You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You may only monitor systems that you own or are authorised to monitor. You must not use the Service to:

  • send traffic intended to degrade, overload or attack any system;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of systems without authorisation;
  • publish unlawful, misleading or infringing content on status pages;
  • circumvent plan limits, rate limits or security controls;
  • resell the Service without written permission.

We may suspend monitors or accounts that violate this section.

4. Plans, payment and taxes

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as merchant of record and is responsible for collecting applicable taxes.
  • Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change for existing subscriptions, effective from your next renewal.
  • If a payment fails, we may downgrade your account to the Free plan. Monitors over the Free plan limit are paused, not deleted.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan remains active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

6. Your data

You retain all rights to the data you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process it to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Status pages you publish are publicly accessible by design.

7. Availability and alerts

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or that every failure will be detected or alerted. Alerts depend on third-party delivery services (email providers, Slack, Discord, Telegram, your webhook endpoint) outside our control. The Service is a monitoring aid and does not replace your own operational safeguards.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or revenue. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be completed by the owner], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

13. Contact
